RCCC – Membership Consultation Events on Selection
Dear Member,
At the AGM, the Chairman of the Board made a commitment to improve engagement and consultation with the membership on the important topic of how the women’s, men’s and mixed doubles teams to represent Scotland at World Championships are decided.
Since the summer, a working group consisting of members, athletes, stakeholders, directors and staff has been busy looking at this complex topic.
The group have met on seven occasions and received contributions from a diverse range of stakeholders such as UK Sport, SportScotland and former athletes.
Before Christmas, over 900 members completed a survey helping us shape the forthcoming consultation events; our thanks and appreciation to all those who responded.
Leading on from the above, we have now organised three virtual consultation events for members to discuss and debate this emotive topic. The feedback received will help inform a report, which will be presented at board level.
Spaces on each event are limited, to allow adequate opportunity for breakout discussion and debate, so please book early to ensure your thoughts and ideas are noted.
