INV – Edinburgh International Gathering_16 – Outcome

Hi All

Lanark CC participated in the INTERNATIONAL GATHERING at the weekend, at Murrayfield, and we played 4 European teams (3 Swiss and 1 Norwegian) out of 6 games. (The other two games were drawn against other Scottish teams). Lanark finished in the second top section of the High Road – winning 3 games out of 6. The winners of our section had 4 wins out of 6 so we were close.

A big thank you must go to the following members who represented Lanark:

Anne Hood, Jack Hood, Bill Jackson, June Faulds, Peter Kerbey, Brian Stephenson, Hugh Campbell, Dot Moran, Alistair Mackintosh and Seona Hutton

Our friends from SWEDEN (anybody know Swedish? – JH) now wish Lanark to participate in their (weekend) competition in October 2016 – who is interested in a visit to Sweden at the start of next season?

I have asked that this competition be raised at our forthcoming AGM and, in order that members are pre-informed, it is with the view that I believe we require a pool of players for this competition if Lanark wishes to maintain its participation. You can all have a think about this for Thursday please.
