When Second Place Feels Like A Victory – LIR Seniors

Well here we were again. As per last year, the runners up in the Mens Senior League.

Last year we were even on Points and lost on Shots – ONE!!!!!   (Table – HERE .)

This year we had the most Shots of all the teams but lost out by one point for the number of wins. It felt like a moral victory as the winning team did not play on the same day as us thereby no chance of intimidating the opposition  .

Well done to Bill Marshall and his team, and big thanks to all Lanark members who took part and supported our team.

There is always next year, and maybe a new organiser from the Club! I’ve had four good years of fun and fellowship, but maybe time to hand over the baton?
