LCC – Prizegiving_18 – A Grand Evening

Lanark CC enjoyed its annual dinner and prize-giving on Good Friday.  New Lanark Hotel was our usual venue and we all enjoyed a lovely dinner before presentation of the trophies.

President, Frank Caddell, led the proceedings well (despite the xmas cracker jokes – hi hi) and Gordon and Bill certainly accumulated just over £100 in raffle money also.

Lanark enjoyed a good season – winning the President’s Cup (Biggar Province) : 2nd in the Men’s Senior League : Anne Hood skipping a team to victory in the Senior Ladies League: Anne Ramsay and Gordon Fraser being part of the team who won the President’s Plate (Hamilton Ice Rink).  Not a bad haul!

So, enjoy your summer holidays and looking forward to having another good curling season starting September.

  1. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE
    I’m pleased to say that our Prize-giving Dinner went well, I didn’t make too many mistakes and everyone seemed to stay awake! We enjoyed a good meal and EVERYONE got a prize from the raffle. Our carriage, shared with Alistair & Margaret Mackintosh, departed at 11.00pm but everyone else seemed to have settled in for the night, so I have no idea when the party finally came to an end. An excellent way to finish off our Curling Season.
