Interestingly; as we know from our TIMELINE, Lanark CC had been in existence since before 1783, and the Royal Caledonian Curling Club (RCCC – WIKIPEDIA) had been in existence since 1838; with the ‘Royal’ charter awarded in 1843. So why 53 years to affiliate to the RCCC? To be possibly answered in due course?
