10/11/16 – AH – Following on from last year’s Lawrie win, a thanks goes to the following members who represented Lanark in the James Lawrie Competition today. It was a close one!

Team#1 – Bill Jackson (BJ) Martin Yuill (MY) Tom Steele (TS) and June Faulds (JF) v Upperward Ladies#1

Team#2 – Donald Macrae (DM) Anne Hood (AH) Jack Hood (JH) and Anne Macrae (AM) v Lanark Ladies#1 (with Auntie Anne (AR) skipping 😆 )

Lanark was +8 shots and came 2nd in the competition – losing out to the overall winners Lesmahagow Ladies with +11 shots.

However, all was not lost, because Donald’s team were the highest-up rink (outwith the winning club) with +9 so the team walked away with a bottle of wine each.

There is always next year…………
